A carbuncle is a cluster of boils that have multiple pus “heads.” They're tender and painful, and cause a severe infection which could leave a scar. Carbuncles form when one or more hair follicles get infected. They often occur on the back of the neck, shoulders or thighs.
Carbuncles fill with pus, growing larger and more painful until they rupture and drain. In rare but severe cases, people may feel unwell and experience fever and chills. This may require antibiotics or drainage of pus.
Homeopathy offers an excellent treatment for Carbuncle. It is possible to avoid antibiotic in most cases if timely homeopathic treatment is used.
