Cervical spondylosis is an age-related wear and tear affecting the spinal disks in your neck. The cervical spine starts at the base of the skull bone that consists of seven bones (called vertebrae). A disc called intervertebral discs separate these vertebrae which contain a gel-like substance which functions as a cushion between the vertebrae. Various muscles and ligaments are attached to the vertebrae that help in the smooth movement of vertebrae. Nerves from the spinal cord pass through the vertebrae and reach your shoulders, neck, arms, and upper chest. Cervical spine stabilizes the neck and allows the smooth movements of your neck from side-to-side, forwards, and backward.

The cervical spine helps in maintaining body posture. But, as age advances, the vertebrae starts to degenerate and intervertebral discs get thinner, dehydrated, and lose their ability to function properly. The edges of the vertebrae develop bone spurs known as osteophytes.

Though, Cervical spondylosis is very common and worsens with age, but nowadays, due to overuse of computers and smartphones for a long time, the problem is becoming common in young generation as well.

Homeopathy helps in many ways in treating your cervical spondylosis. It provides effective relief in pain and stiffness of the cervical spine. It reduces the inflammation of the disc and ligaments and hence, improves the mobility of your neck and hands. In situations where nerve root compression takes place, the regular use of homeopathic medicines shows improvement in the relief from tingling sensation and numbness. Homeopathic medicines control the progression of the disease and prevent further destruction of the disc and vertebrae to some extent.
