ICHTHYOSIS

Ichthyosis is a skin disorders characterised by dry, scaly or thickened skin affecting the torso, head and limbs of the body. The most commonly impacted regions of the body include: extensor region of the limbs, especially the elbows and shins.

It is commonly caused by a genetic mutation that's inherited from one or both the parents. Children who inherit a defective gene from just one parent have a milder form of the disease. Those who inherit two defective genes have a more severe form of ichthyosis vulgaris.

Homeopathy has proven to be highly reliable in controlling the symptoms caused by Ichthyosis.
Ichthyosis vulgaris most commonly affects the torso, head, and limbs. Medication containing salicylic acid or urea may relieve dryness and ease scaliness. Severe cases may need vitamin A derivatives called retinoids.
