Pityriasis Corporis also known as Tinea corporis or ringworm, is a superficial fungal infection of the arms, legs or lower abdomen, especially on glabrous skin (skin without hair); however, it may occur on any part of the body.
This infection tends to last for a very long time, for years at times; as it is difficult to get rid of this fungus. The factors that make one prone to develop this fungal infection include; excessive sweating, poor hygiene, using contaminated personal care items and it can also spread from pets.
In Acute tinea corporis, the skin becomes itchy, inflamed with red patches and may contain pus. Chronic tinea corporis tends to be most prominent in body folds.
Homeopathy is effective for chronic Tinea corporis. However, as the disease gets older, it tends to get more resistant to any form of treatment but Homeopathic medicine has good remedies to treat stubborn ringworm.
